One of our cherished elders, Anthony Steel, loves Stravinsky. As the centrepiece of this year’s Coriole Music Festival he has programmed Konstantin Shamray, Adelaide’s own Russian-born star pianist, with Andrey Gugnin, one of Moscow’s most outstanding younger pianists and winner of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition - which Konstantin won in 2008. They will play Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring in its first published version for piano four-hands.
